MOA to boost search and rescue efforts signed with Crave

Recognizing the important role played by the Philippine Canine Search and Rescue Association, Inc. (PHK9SAR) in efforts to save lives through its canine search and rescue (K9-SAR) volunteers, FSI Inc. signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) in support of the association’s various projects.

The MOA will enable the PHK9SAR to obtain a regular supply of FSI’s dog food brand, Crave® as well as all the necessary support the PHK9SAR needs to perform its noble deeds.

At the contract signing, Jejomar Erwin Binay Jr., President of the PHK9SAR, stressed the importance of such partnership as “it will help us tremendously in performing our duties and mission, and that is to save lives.” For FSI, the partnership plays a significant role in the company’s objectives of producing high quality products and services. “We are happy to seal this partnership as it will give our product, Crave, the rare opportunity to be of service to the people through the quality nutrition it can provide the search and rescue (SAR) dogs,” added Rex Malabanan, Brand Manager of FSI.

Crave® offers the most balanced and optimum nutrition that working dogs, such as K9 search and rescue (SAR) dogs need in order to perform their crucial task of rescuing victims of calamities. Its formulation is geared to ensure that dogs get all their nutritional requirements from a dog food that is highly palatable and easy to digest. As nutrition is vital in canine performance, Crave will be able to supply the energy and stamina that K9 dogs need to withstand extreme conditions while assisting in search and rescue efforts.

The PHK9SAR is a non-profit organization recognized by the US National Association for Search and Rescue. Its over 200 volunteers are on alert 24 hours a day for emergency calls requiring canine search. SAR dogs find victims of floods, mudslides, typhoons, earthquake, fire, plane crashes, explosion and other disasters; lost children or old people; missing trekkers or mountain climbers; etc.
